Living History MuseumSDA-AS students have worked super hard over the last month researching their chosen historical person. We invite you to attend our Living History Museum " Walk In Their Shoes" on Thursday March 22nd at 9:30am. Students will be dressed in their character's clothing and will tell you a little about what made them a important person in history.
SDSU Science Lab Field Trip April 3Mr. Rogalski has been working with a doctor, professor, and scientist from SDSU over the last two years named Dr. Lipson. Dr. Lipson has invited us to SDSU, and he and Mr. Roglaski have planned a great field trip for our students on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. In class today, our visitor gave a little hint of how fun this field trip will be!
This field trip will include an introduction to what Dr. Lipson and his team are studying, a tour of the lab and its tools (looking at on-going experiments), then a hands-on lab. After our lab, we will have lunch on one of the grass lawns at SDSU. We will then take a walk around SDSU on one of their self-guided tours, to check out the campus further. This is an AWESOME opportunity for our students to experience SDSU and their science lab as a middle school student. Hopefully, inspiring some of our current students to look towards a future in science. Don't forget to turn in your permission slip! 6th Grade Students Visit BizTownMiss Robles and our 6th grade professionals are working hard to be prepared for their exciting day at BizTown on Monday March 12th.
BizTown is a highly effective program that reinforces the value of global workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and personal financial literacy. San Diego's Science EXPO week is kicking off this week, March 3rd at Petco Park. This is a FREE event that I'm sure your families will love! And our students from SDA-AS, SDLC, and ICLM under the guidance of Mr. Rogalski will have a booth with a walk-in art installation where participants can add to the painting, see and learn some "atomic dances" and listen to music created by our students. Be sure to stop by and show your support!
